Connery, because he set the standard. Danial Craig.....would be my second choice.
Niven, nice for a comedy. But I don't see the bulk of the Bonds movies as comedy per say.

Connery was the original and best ! So suave but Brosnan and Craig are really good too! Hard choice

Connery remains the best Bond, capturing the essence of Fleming's character, particularly at that point in time in the early 60's, and even as Fleming initially considered Connery "uncouth" and the "antithesis of his character."
Craig is a very, very close second, bringing the Bond character back to life, and portraying him as conceived by Fleming.
My favorite Bond story was "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", which was the movie with Lazenby, but it has to be one of the best because of Diana Rigg.

Sean Connery Oozes With Macho Charisma!!! ... Genuine Tough Guy Before Becoming A Film Star- Once Holding The Reputation Of Toughest Bouncer In Edinburgh- Capitol Of Scotland. Belligerent Ex Royal Navy- Young Sean Never Took Shit Off Anyone- Even Taking On A Savage Street Gang Single-Handed 4 To 1 And Kicking Ass!!! Easy To Google This Info Online For Verification. Beer Drinking Tough Guy Connery Had To Be Polished Up With Knowledge Of Tuxedos And Caviar- Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous- Otherwise The PERFECT Choice Because To Me Sean Connery IS James Bond 007

Connery started the franchise, and set the bar so to speak. However I do prefer Daniel Craig as he brings a more believable ruthlessness to the role

On another tack I'm giving my vote to Dalton as I cannot beleive anyone would vote for Lasenby over Dalton.

George Lazenbys portrayal of Bond was abysmal, and bear in mind I say this even though he's a countryman of mine!

Sean will always be Bond. The others all have their merits, especially Dalton who i think has always been underrated.

Sean Connery IS James Bond......that suave, smooth Bond that couldn't be resisted. I will say Daniel Craig does come in right below him, though.

Daniel Craig for rescuing it from childishness. I think he is much closer to what Flemming wrote than Connery. For me, Connery got better as he has aged.

it also has a lot to do with the movies, George Lazenby the whole movie sucked. Bond fell in love and married and the only gadget was radioactive lint, even connery couldnt save that movie. Craig is a close second cause i believe his movies allowed him to show emotions as well.
Connery set the standard and did it so well.
