The number of fake accounts is growing exponentially. Soon it will be fake accounts trying to connect with fake accounts. But it is not just this place Every, and I mean every site I have ever singed up for, has fake accounts Including the most recent I joined. Guess what, some of the same fake accounts I see here on alt are on the other sites I joined. Not one site I am ware of purges fake accounts. The face place, the twit place etc. Are invaded by Russians and other country operatives trying to push agendas. Sites like this oen are trying to push action onto porn or others sites or fake trying to get money. Do yourself a favor an ignore the fake, life is too short. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

Tineye is my favourite site. It saves me a tremendous amount of time.

That's the exact opposite of my experience - google always comes up with something along the lines of 'unrecognised image so here's something generic to add to your frustration' whereas tineye is laser precise in spotting the fakes. Que sera sera.

The thread here seems to be "if people (well, men) on alt were smarter, they would check pictures against internet sources and find that many, many of the images here are borrowed for fake accounts." That makes sense, but you have to realize, people are mentally lazy and will not bother learning how to do the searches you talk about. Luckily, for most images, there is something simpler for Americans to be ignorant of: photography. Most fake pictures that aren't stolen selfies are often "professional" pictures complete with the kinds of softened/multiple-source lighting that can only be accomplished with equipment that only professional photographers have. Basically, photos like that ask you to believe that a woman a professional photographer thinks is a worthy subject is on here desperately trawling this site for her next boyfriend. When it comes to photography, the better the picture is, the smaller the chance that the subject is real. Schrille Schlampen aller Länder, vereinigt euch! Ihr habt nichts zu verlieren als euren Kontakt mit Versagern!

Apparently not very hard !

Yes got into the habit of automatically checking every girl I come into contact here on Alt by doing a reverse image search if they had a picture. A lot of fun sometimes wading thru some interesting sites... Started doing it to avoid the ones asking to go my private email or ask for money or even to open a bank account for her.... As for tineye, Google is better, but I find even Google will miss a picture. There is one based in Russia called Yandex, sometimes it finds pictures Google misses. One profile here on Alt uses a cover picture taken in Paris 2009 and gives out pictures of a nude model taken back in 2005 or 2006. Google found the original of the cover photo, but never found the nude model, Yandex found those originals. Not everyone that has fake pictures is a scam thou. There are several girls that I chat with that use pictures from the internet, not their own. They want the attention a picture brings, just dont want to reveal themselves. Don't really care as long as the chat is good. Johnboy

Had a fake email that I set up years ago for back when I was on Omegle. It's come in handy for keeping my real email private on here. Been trying Alt for about a month now. All I've gotten are fakes asking for money or are looking for food and shelter in exchange for "domestic services." Really demoralizing, and definitely not going to renew Gold once it's done.

With the conversations about Google and Tineye, there's a plugin for Firefox called "Who stole my pictures" and right clicking an image in your browser will search Google, Tineye, Yandex and Bing from one click. It's quite usual for one site to pick up images the others missed, I do get the impression though that many of these profiles are just feeding fantasies of people who would rather not know.
